Uses

The machines and software I actually use, in the spirit of uses.tech.

Desktop

• CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K, a 2018 chip that still refuses to be the bottleneck
• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
• RAM / board: 32 GB on a Gigabyte Z390 D
• OS: CachyOS Linux

Laptop

• Machine: ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 (RTX 4070, 32 GB RAM, 2×1 TB NVMe)
• OS: dual boot Fedora + Windows, one drive each, no arguments

Software

• Editor: Neovim, with dotfiles I tinker with more than I probably should
• Terminal: kitty, running fish
• Desktop: KDE Plasma or Hyprland, depending on the mood

Server

A Hetzner box that keeps me honest about deployment, backups, and what "it works on my machine" really means:

• Nextcloud: files and sync
• Navidrome: music streaming
• BookLore: the library behind the reading log

Retro Pi

A Raspberry Pi turned into a retro gaming box, the other kind of self-hosting.
